And so we are half way through the first month of the new year. I have been fairly quiet on the blog the past month. So far we have done nothing exciting to be honest. The weather is holding us back and now that we have started potty training Chloe at the weekend, we are very limited to go places. I’d just rather have her fully trained at home and then go out in maybe two weeks or so.
I am really watching my kids sugar intake. It is very important they have healthy teeth. During the week they always get water only in their cups. It’s a habit we got into and I don’t want to steer away from. I used to drink a lot of sugary drinks as a child (still do) but these type of drinks for my own kids are only a treat every now and again in our house now.
Do you find yourself planning out the holidays for the entire year come January? The trigger seems to be Christmas. I already have a week of work behind me. However, because I had such a nice time off over the festive season, I already feel like planning another holiday for us all. Plus, January always seems to be the month of deals and percentages off, particularly flights.
I know, I know, it’s been well over a week since it was Christmas Day. But the blog is mainly for looking back on our memories over the years and the fact I took a blog break, I have to keep this safe on my little blog and even write about it in January. Christmas has been lovely. We could enjoy it a bit more this time because I was off all throughout the festive season and wasn’t back to work until the new year. This was such a nice break that it was hard to get back into the swing again.
Did you all have a good start into the new year? The festive season has gone by so quickly and I haven’t even got a chance to write up all my Christmas related posts yet. I think it is still okay to do so when the new year has only just started. I took a break over Christmas and just didn’t want to blog at all. It’s nice to get a break for once I think and not feel under pressure with the blog. The day before Christmas Eve we were heading to see Santa down the road.
I have been a bit quiet on the blogging front the last week and a bit. Simple reason is I wanted to enjoy the festive season with the family and not worry about posts going out. However the last post of this year has got to be the Me and Mine Project. We have been joining two years now and I’m so glad we did.
