Christmas Gift Guide 2016 – For Toddlers

christmas-gift-guide-toddlers2

Continuing on with my Christmas Gift Guide for this year, it’s toddlers today. My little girl is still too small to do a gift guide for girls for that reason I am only going to do a toddler one.
I find it very hard to find something for her to be honest. Apart from cruising around on her ride ons in the house, she is not big into playing with toys. She likes cuddling her teddies and she doesn’t like watching TV. She is yet too small to realise what Santa means anyway. Most of the gifts she will receive, will probably be clothes because she is only 1 1/2 months away from turning two when it’s Christmas which means her clothing size will change from 18-24 months to 2-3 years. Can you imagine, she is only one to two sizes away from her big brother Matthew then.

1 Toddler Bean Bag

As mentioned in a blog post before, I am in the middle of setting up the kids play room. This will include a chill out area which will be in form of a bench with lots of cushions on it. Apart from that, I decided to get them both a bean bag they can sit into when watching TV, reading a book or spending some time on the iPad.

Available at Argos for €37.99 (on sale at the moment)

2 Red/Navy Cat Leggings Three Pack

I am still obsessed dressing her in cat outfits. For example this morning she went off to creche with cat socks and a cat jumper which I purchased from H&M the other week. I love these cat leggings from Next which come in a pack of three. You can never have enough leggings.

Available at Next for €18

3 Ochre Cat Print Crew Neck

Another cat clothing item. This jumper will keep herself warm during the winter period. I tend to buy t-shirt like jumpers during the autumn time but in the winter I get the heavy kind of jumpers. I really love the colour on this.

Available at Next for €15.50

4 VTech Toot Toot Animals Cat

We have the Vtech Toot Toot drivers garage and train station. To me a child any age can play with it and never gets bored. You can connect the pieces in so many different ways. Here is another cat obsession. Cat responds to SmartPoint locations with different phrases, sound effects. It comes with 3 sing along  songs and 6 lively melodies.

Available in Smyths Toystore for €11.90

5 Peppa Pig’s Flip and Learn Phone

Chloe loves handing me my phone.  She loves going “hiya” and pressing buttons on it. I am planning to buy her this Peppa Pig phone because, I know she doesn’t like watching TV, but she does seem to like Peppa a little bit. It probably won’t be as good as mammy’s phone if I know her.

Available at Smyths Toystore for €14.99

6 IKEA Kitchen

I bought Matthew a kitchen two Christmasses ago. It was from Lidl. At the time it was brilliant but now it’s just annoying me if I am honest. Chloe found a liking to play with it now but because it’s plastic kitchen, the oven for example keeps opening itself and the equipment doesn’t look as good anymore. The IKEA kitchen is wood and very robust and hear lots of people saying how good it is. I might buy some of those soft vegetables with it and some pots and pans.

Available at Smyths Toystore for €69

7 Chuckle Ball

Little ones will love this bright and colourful Chuckle Ball. It’s a fun self-rolling motorised ball which makes loads of silly sounds! It’s ideal for pre-schoolers. The Chuckle Ball encourages movement and lots of giggles!

Available at Smyths Toystore for €19.99
