5 Gift Ideas For This Father’s Day 2017

Father’s Day is nearly upon us again. Some people can go completely crazy sometimes spending a whole lot of money on their dad or the children’s dad. For me it’s generally always just a personalised card from the kids for daddy and a small little gift.

Moonpig Father’s Day Card

I have been using Moonpig.com for several different occasions in the past. Whether that’s birthdays, Birth announcements, Christenings or Father’s Day. They have you covered for all occasions. So for this year I purchased a Father’s Day card for daddy as well from the kids. 90% of their cards expect to arrive the next working day, however on special days, it can take up to three working days. So far they have never let me down.

Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea with a twist. (And if you follow me, you know how much I love afternoon tea) The Morrison’s Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea is a hearty feast of steak sandwiches, beef sliders, smoked rasher scones and whiskey chocolate truffles that can be washed down with a refreshing pint of Wicklow Wolf. This special afternoon tea is available for €50 for two people.

Make It With Words

Does your dad, or the kids dad drink a lot of tea or coffee? Then this personalised coaster is the perfect gift for them. Make it with words is an Irish owned company who was formed in 2014 by husband and wife Joe Jennings and Amelia Mantero. They do fab other stuff, too. Our customised coaster was €12.50.

Sugru – Stick it, Shape it

This has to be the coolest, smartest and most practical gadget. I came across it by pure chance but I have seen it in the past. Never looked at it any further though. Until one of the bloggers told me about it. Sugru is basically the first mouldable glue. You can use it on ANYTHING. Your charger is nearly falling apart? No problem, stick a bit of Sugru around it and it’s like new. It’s super flexible too. It’s adhesive which means you can easily create a hook. All you need to do, is wait 24 hours. It’s also waterproof, heat and cold resistant, grippy, removable and strong and durable. I’d say the man in the house will definitely like this. The kit is available for just €13 and it comes with a Sugru remover, a storage tin, a booklet for some ideas and of course… 4 5g single-use packs of Sugru in Pitch Black, Snow White, Silver Grey and Classic Red.

Hugo Boss Fragrance

There is always the good old smell to keep you covered in case of a last minute gift. Hugo Boss Bottled Unlimited Eau de Toilette 100ml is currently on offer in Boots for €40 (was €85!)

Is there anything that might take your interest and you would want to buy for your daddy or the kids daddy?

Disclaimer: I was gifted with a few items above, however this is  100% my own opinion as always
