Baby Bottle Gripper – By Cognikids

A while ago I was asked to review Cognikids newly developed baby bottle gripper called GRIP. Cognikids is a reestablished company, previously known as Creepy Crawlers. As well as the gripper you can also get your hands on a sensory teething bib or a grip crawl suit. You can visit their website if you would like to find out more. For now we concentrate on the gripper.

Bottle Grip

The baby bottle gripper is very flexible and comes in 6 different funky bright colours such as Apple or Sky. It allows your baby to hold the bottle herself and that way gives them the ability to feed themselves at a young age. Plain bottles with milk or water on its own can be very hard to handle and challenging for your little one, so this is where GRIP comes in.

Furthermore it encourages fine finger movements, hand eye co-ordination, hand mouth co-ordination and cognitiv development. It’s lightweight and due to its design baby’s parents are able to see exactly how much milk/water is left inside. Very important point also is, it’s BPA free, dishwasher and steriliser safe.

The gripper works with all major bottle brands such as NUK, Mam, Avent, Tommee Tippee and Dr. Brown.

What did I think of the baby bottle gripper?

• At first it was hard to fit the bottle into the GRIP, with Avent bottle I find it easier to fit from the bottom of the gripper. It depends on the bottle really.
• Easy to hold for baby.
• Flexible to take a long when going out and about.
• I prefer washing it in the dishwasher.
• We couldn’t review it properly because unfortunately Chloe was suffering from a stomach bug for 3 weeks which meant it was the perfect timing to move her off the bottles.

The retail price of this product is €14.99.

NOTE: Watch GRIP in action on Irish Channel RTE One on Sunday 9.30pm on the show Dragon’s Den.

Disclaimer: I was sent this product for the purpose of a review. As always the opinion is my very own.

I was told they improved the design though so it might be easier to get on now.

This is such a good idea, Lilly always used to struggle with holding it until she was a lot older. Would even be goodfor me with my clumsy hands.

These are awesome – I met the ladies at a trade show in Harrogate and E had a little feel of the product, she immediately used her pincher grip so it definitely works! H x

Aw such a good idea! Rosalie was breast fed so we never had bottles but anything that gives us mumma’s and extra pair of hands sounds brilliant xx

Sorry to hear Chloe wasn’t well. Hope she’s feeling better now though. We love the grip, little bugger to get on and off but a clever little invention all the same.

I have read another review on this product, I can see its use, but Toby held his own bottle from 3 months so it wouldn’t have been worth it for him. I’ll see how baby girl gets on when I get to the point of expressing for her xx
