The Siblings Project April 2018

Where did the time go?  I didn’t realise how fast we were approaching the middle of the month. And just like that we whizzed past it and I completely forgot about the the siblings project. Only for the fact I saw one of my fellow bloggers posting about it today, I probably would have completely forgot.

April was actually quite packed with siblings photos. The second week of the Easter break we spent in the UK. I wrote about our trip to Paultons Park and the day out with Thomas recently. I still haven’t managed to write about our stay at Legoland because life is just so busy but I will probably have that up and running by the weekend, too.

Having a holiday together was the best thing we could have done as I think this way their bond has grown even further. From start to finish of those five days away, they have been absolutely amazing together. At the start I wasn’t quite convinced that Chloe will like the flight over but she was fascinated. She had no problem when we departed and when we landed. She looked out the window most of the time and was enjoying the flight.

Most photos were taken in Legoland. When Matthew was going on a ride, Chloe had to come with him. It was nice because it meant we all ended up doing everything together. Chloe has become so much more independent and is definitely a lot braver than she was this time last year.

Matthew has gotten a good bit into Lego in the last few months. But since we came back from Legoland, all it is, is Lego now. He even has his own Lego display unit in his room now. I will blog about it how I did that soon. He loves it but he still needs to understand all the sets he built, are to look at and not to touch.

Chloe wants to be like his brother half the time. So she started playing with Lego too. I picked up a set of Duplo Lego in Legoland. She plays it with sometimes but she much prefers the small Lego. She is actually very good with it, considering she is only three years of age.

The highlight for the kids was our stay in the Legoland hotel. They both slept in a bunk bed. However Matthew was getting a bit scared at the top in the end and ended up sleeping in daddy’s bed. He was super excited otherwise though and was building his Lego in it. Chloe slept like a log in the bottom part. She loved it.

Sharing between the two has also gotten a bit better. There is always the odd time where you hear someone scream from the play room “It’s mine”. They also like to be both up to mischief. As mentioned in a previous blog post, we now have a cat again. Chloe absolutely loves her and she can’t go to bed without saying good night to her. However though they like chasing her through the house, too. They’ll soon get bored of it I hope. We only have her about eight weeks.
