The Siblings Project January 2019

Here we are in the middle of January with a new aim to take more photos of brother and sister each month. I got a bit lazy over the last year but sometimes I have lack of time, too. However the last month or so I started picking up my proper camera again.

The first year of the month was pretty quiet for us. We started it pretty lazy to be honest. Whatever you want to call it. Last weekend I was away for two days in Spain so hubby entertained the kids. One of the days Matthew attended a birthday party in a play centre. This kept them busy and tired them out before bedtime.

Chloe has grown quite a good bit lately. She is more aware of everything and gets very cheeky sometimes. Maybe that’s a thing before they turn four. We are just two weeks short of Chloe’s fourth birthday. She is a funny little character. She definitely knows what she wants and likes to push her parents buttons now.

Matthew on the other hand is good as gold… most of the time anyway. He is looking after his little sister more and is kind of bossing her around. Particularly when she is giving out. It’s actually pretty funny to watch. For example the other day I collected them for creche and Chloe dropped something in the car. She was going that she was not able to get it. Matthew told her it was alright and she would get once we were home. She calmed down then. Sometimes a parent telling her off is not enough anymore.

Right now Chloe hops into our bed every night at some point which Matthew is not happy about. This is, I think, mainly the reason why he gets up at night, too. We have assured him once she turns four, there is no more sleeping with us. He keeps telling her this, too and she keeps saying she doesn’t want to turn four because of that. It’s the funniest ever. Despite all the fights they have sometimes, they just can’t be without each other. They are just the best of friends really.
