Christmas Jumper Day with Barnardos

christmas-220065_1280

It is tradition now at this stage to have a Christmas Jumper Day in our work place. But you can’t just have one for the sake of having one. There needs to be a reason behind it and what other great cause can it be other than donating for a charity that badly needs it.

This year we agreed to donate to Barnardos. By supporting this campaign you are helping 11,300 children and families this year who need our support. This will change children’s lives and the lives of their families for the better. It is the brighter future they deserve.

Christmas Jumper Day is happening on Friday, 18th December.

There are many ways to donate:

By bank, simply drop them an email to corporate@barnardos.ie and find out their details if you want to go down this route

By cheque, you can send them an email about this or call them on 01 7080438

Online, to make a donation online, simply log onto www.barnardos.ie and click the “Donate” button in the top right hand corner.

If you want to make it a fun day in your office, simply email them and they will send you out a package containing balloons and a few other things. Let’s get into the festive spirit. We will have breakfast organised for everybody in the office too on that day.

Not into Christmas Jumpers at all but you still want to make a donation a different way? Log onto their website and check out 5 other ways possible.

1. Raffle a Barnardos Teddy Bear
2. Carol Sing For Barnardos
3. Barnardos Christmas Toy Appeal
4. Barnardos Christmas Cards
5. Barnardos Corporate Giving Tree

Are you planning to wear a Christmas Jumper this season simply because you feel festive or will you do it a for good cause, too?

I like to wear a Christmas jumper anyway! I love Christmas! But love that you can get involved by wearing one for charity 🙂

Lovely idea to have a Christmas jumper for charity! They’ve become part of our culture with office Christmas Jumper days and 12 pubs of Christmas, so it’s nice to see charities cashing in!

I don’t really do Christmas jumpers, and bizarrely although our work do a Christmas jumper day, theirs never matches date with the official one!

I love getting a Christmas jumper every year! Never heard of doing it for charity though – I think there is a giving tree for Winterval this year so I will definitely be taking part in that 🙂
