Living Arrows 27/52 – A Farm Visit

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” by Kahlil Gibran. Another busy weekend left behind us and we have entered July. You wouldn’t think it is though. It has been drizzling all day.

This weekend I had my friend Sandra from Sligo coming over with her boyfriend Glen. I invited them over for a staycation in our place and we all made a plan and did something together. Sandra and me both looked online the week before what we could do. The weather forecast promised no rain so we could look at activities outside.

In the end we came across a farm in Kildare. It was only twenty minutes away from the house. Saturday morning Matthew and me went to his third swimming lesson in the local fitness club. While Chloe and daddy went off to his physio appointment and for a treat in the library cafe.

Shortly after, when we arrived back home, Sandra and Glen arrived. We packed all our bits and pieces and headed to the farm. First of all it was time to grab some lunch. The food was amazing. Then we went on a train around the farm. And last but not least we played a round of Indian crazy golf. Matthew is getting a great laugh out of it. He’s been so many times now, he must be a pro.

Sunday we went to the shopping centre and spent some money and had a last lunch together before we waved the two off back to Sligo.

It was a relaxing but yet fun filled weekend.
