The Me and Mine Project July 2018

Oh lovely July…we are at the end of it already and today is the first day of the month in August. In the blink of an eye we have Christmas on the door step. I find once the Summer holidays are over, the year is just flying by even quicker because all the fun has come to end, people have gone on their long awaited holiday.

Our July was lovely and every weekend was busy. At the beginning of the month I spent a few days in Germany with my friend Karo to celebrate her birthday. The kids got to spend a weekend with their grandparents and also finally got their hair cut.

In the meantime the temperatures have fallen and it is raining as we speak. You could get away with no jacket but the rain makes you want to put on a light jacket. We are promised more hot weather this coming bank holiday weekend. I don’t even mind if it’s not too hot as long as we can keep the rain coat at home. The kids love wearing shorts at the moment so they were a bit disappointed when they trousers had to come out again a few days ago.

This month family photo was taken last minute in our finished garden. We didn’t do anything major to it but because we have a high grey brick wall, we added some trellis with ivy growing on it. It will give it a nice backdrop. We also had two trees planted and my flowerbed tidied up. I am really pleased with it.
