Living Arrows 26/52 So Many Birthday Parties

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” by Kahlil Gibran. I can’t believe the weekend is gone already. It’s so much more fun when you have things planned.

Saturday morning was the second time of Matthew’s ten week swimming lesson course. He did so well this time. I didn’t have to come in at all and he listened to the teacher. In the end they all even went into the big pool. I find learning how to swim so important.

In the afternoon we were off again to Bray to the cousins house. It was the kids cousin’s third birthday party. Matthew took his new Transformers toy with him he got that morning to show it off. I was waiting for the mini version of it to come in stock but still no sign so we got the bigger version.

If you’ve followed me for a while, then you probably know that Chloe is stuck to one of us the whole time. She just doesn’t like all the action going on. It doesn’t matter how many times she’s been to the house. She tucked into some nuggets and home made chips instead. Of course she had some chocolate birthday cake too.

Sunday, it was time for another birthday party. This time one of Matthew’s creche friends. It was taking place in a local play centre. He went with daddy while Chloe and I stayed home and had our own fun. We picked up a little gift for the teachers on Friday as it will be Matthew’s pre school graduation. I can’t believe it’s actually that time already.

The rest of the day we just chilled out and played outside. When we went to the cousins house, Chloe spotted a Peppa Pig shaped bag. She took it home to borrow it and wants it on her back all the time. Here she is, kitted out with a Peppa Pig bag, leggings, t-shirt and socks.

As we haven’t eaten out as a family in a while and I didn’t have any dinner plans, we decided to head down the road to Joel’s American diner for some dinner. It was really busy which meant we had a twenty minutes wait. But that’s okay because we arrived early anyway.  The kids were going a bit mad at the dinner table but everyone enjoyed themselves and the food if course.

The coming weekend is busy again. My good old friend Sandra is coming to stay with us and her boyfriend. We’ve made some cool plans.

I think it’s the area we live in now. 9 months ago I had a boring life. We lived in a town where there was nothing on. It is such a difference now. The kids actually get to see and do stuff. x

It sounds like another busy weekend – you always have so much going on! I love to eat out randomly when we don’t have any other plans x
