Over the last few months Chloe has taken a liking to Peppa the pig. She was never into watching TV until she turned two which is a good thing too. As she becomes more aware of her surroundings now and knows what’s going on, she demands Peppa Pig on the TV every day. Her big brother doesn’t mind too much as we rotate the programs. Though he could watch his own stuff in the play room as well.
Last month I went to Manchester to attend BlogOn Xmas. There were many lovely brands I spoke to and had some nice stuff to offer. One of them was Bladez Toyz. They match the criteria and age group perfectly for my kids. Recently we were offered to review the Peppa Pig Water filled Muddy Puddle play mat. I thought that sounded interesting and we wanted to give it a go.
Simply bring the “jumping up and down in muddy puddles” fun indoors. The beauty of this… no mess! The mat is aimed at kids from the age of six months. For babies it’s more about the touching and feeling all the different characters in the mat. Chloe, at the age of two and a half, is at the perfect age to explore the mat and jump up and down on it. She is a smart little cookie. When I had the mat filled with water, she went and took off her socks because she thought she would get them wet.
Filling the mat with water was a bit tricky I have to admit. I needed the help of the hubby. Maybe there was a trick to it and we didn’t follow the instructions right. But to get the water in we had to squeeze the valve together to let water floating in. The maximum of water required for the mat is 2.5 litres.
The mat has won gold at the Toy Awards 2017. The muddy puddle play mat is available to buy in all Smyths Toy stores. RRP is £12.99.
