I am going to BlogOn Xmas

In just two weekends time I will be heading off to the BlogOn conference again. I have been for the first time in May. I enjoyed it so much that I bought a ticket for the September one, too. Plus I like a little mini trip away every now and again. Manchester is not exactly far with a half an hours flight time from Ireland.

Blog conferences are also great to get chatting to other bloggers. I am not the biggest chit chat person but I do try to make an effort and get talking to people. At least everyone in the room has the same interest. In fact most bloggers attending this conference are mummy’s just like me. Just like the last conference, they have another linky going this time to answer a few questions and get to know the blogger before even arriving at the venue. I thought I would give this a go and you guys will get to know me better.

Please share your favourite photo of you.

This is my profile picture on all my blog related social media. I don’t really have any photos that are nice and recent with just me on it.

If you could choose a band to play in your garden for your birthday, who would you pick?

Probably The Script. I don’t listen to too much music anymore but The Script is definitely a band I like listening to and I would see in concert every now and again. Take That would be another one. And going back to my teenage years, if the band was still around, I would say Westlife.

What do you take with you for long visits to the toilet?

Very very bad habit, but my phone. I mean who doesn’t these days, right?

What word can’t you spell?

Lieing, as of lying. Lying can be a lie a lying down. I never get it right. English is a foreign language to me so I do have an excuse.

What’s the most unusual job you’ve ever had?

I didn’t have many jobs in my life and they were/are normal enough.

Knitting, sewing or crotchet?

Can’t do neither. When I was a child, my granny taught me how to knit. I have no interest in it now though. You need to have some serious patience for it and I don’t have that.

Without looking it up, what is a jerkinhead?

No idea. Maybe it’s one of these words used in youth in school calling someone a name?

If you could have as much of one food as you wanted forever, what would it be?

That is a tough question. I eat pretty much everything. But something I would never get sick of… probably Doner Kebab or Taco Fries.

What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?

Nothing comes into mind really. I’d say moving to a different country. You don’t know what to expect.

If you needed a getaway driver, who would you choose?

Hubby, calm driver.

Would you rather live in Narnia or at Hogwarts?

Hogwarts, as I do like watching the Harry Potter movies and the whole magic vibe of it. I yet have to go to the Warner Bros. Studios in London.

What snack food says ‘Christmas’ to you?

Potato salad. This is a traditional food served on Christmas Eve in Germany.

Is there life on Mars?

I can imagine there is life on nearly every planet in some sort of form.

Which Christmas movie would you be a character in, and who would play you?

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Ellen Smith Griswold

What are you proudest of?

The most obvious one is being a mum to two healthy and bubbly children.

You need to have the proper one though. But they’re all different in each country.

I can only imagine how scary it must be to move to another country, especially one with a different native language. Will hopefully get a chance to say hi next weekend.

I am getting my potato salad recipe from chefkoch.de 🙂 But the original one from my granny is probably the best which I will never know but there are similiar ones on that website.
I have finally ordered my Christmas T-shirt. See you at the party 🙂 Are we going for dinner and what’s the story with that? xx

Ooh, I love potato salad. Reading this post has made me peckish!
I hope you get to go to the Harry Potter studio tour sometime in the near future. I went there October before last and it was amazing. One of the best days ever!
