Paw Patrol Backup

I think it’s confirmed. My previously obsessed Paw Patrol boy has found his new favourite show.
It’s been going on for quite some time now.

Paw patrol has been everyone’s parents nightmare. Pups who rescue the world, a chicken who lives in a handbag, cats who are dressed up as the Paw patrol pups, a boy who’s driving a motorbike… the list goes on and on. You should tune in one day. Nick Junior or Nick Junior +, guaranteed to be on at least once or twice during the day (underestimated).

So what’s this new cartoon I am talking about you’re wondering? You are about to find out.
I think the only reason why he got wind of this cartoon is because it’s generally on after an episode of Paw Patrol.
I am introducing you to “Blaze and the Monster Machines“.

What’s this new American animated cartoon about?
An 8 year old boy (great age to drive a monster truck by the way) called AJ is driving Blaze around Axle City where all the monster machines live. They are going on adventures together solving problems by using science and math. Blaze has a rival called Crusher who’s trying to make life difficult for all the other monster machines including Blaze and is trying to get to the finish line first in everything.
The series is aimed at preschoolers to comprehensively cover areas of science, technology, engineering and math.

Blaze is able to turn himself into any machine to solve the problem.

Matthew loves it as they do a lot of counting in each episode.

It’s nice to get a break from all the Paw patrol episodes we have watched a million times. In saying that, whenever he’s getting to watch TV (we need to cut down the TV time in this house!!!) I am always asking him what he would like to watch. The answer is always “Blaze”. I then ask him “Are you sure you don’t want to watch Paw Patrol?” “No, Blaze!”… Ok, I think I get the idea. It’s another obsession.

There are 2 seasons at the moment and by the looks of it there will be more episodes coming in May. (Yay!). In the meantime we will watch more of the Jungle horn, Race to the top of the world,…….

Do you need a break from Paw Patrol? Why not tune in to watch some Blaze and the monster machine on Nick Junior.

Let’s Blaze!!

My little girl loves Blaze and the monster machines. Its weird the way they can switch between one thingband another so quick.

We need a Paw Patrol break big time but the boy has no interest in Blaze. Alvin is his top choice, he love the chipmunks!!

My daughter is paw patrol obsessed… Seems like most kids are at the moment! I wonder if these monster trucks will be the next big thing 😀

My sons watch both of these programmes and many more. I don’t mind either of these but do try to steer clear of Peppa as it’s sooo annoying!

Toby’s really started developing favourites now, although still within my control a bit as we don’t have a TV so I can kind of restrict his options on Iplayer and Netflix. At least this sounds educational, that’s always a good thing!xx

Great choice – Blaze And The Monster Machines is a firm favourite here, the boys absolutely love it – secretly i much prefer it to the likes of Paw Patrol and Dora The Explorer anyway, so i’m not complaining. lol xxx

I remember how sick I used to get of my little sister’s favourite TV shows, especially when she watched them on repeat, or the same episode multiple times!!! I don’t know how mums do it!

My son hasn’t shown any interest in Blaze yet, but he really loves Paw Patrol! His other favourites are Postman Pat and the Twirlywoos.

Oh yes, I’ve been there! We are now on to Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures- the Boy is obsessed with dinosaurs!! It’s good though as we often put it on through the Cbeebies website and he plays games as well as watching so it’s not just passive learning. He sings all the songs and repeats all the facts (I’ve learned a lot too!!). He’s nearly 5 so maybe it could be your next stage?!! xx
