Snacking with Ape #MunchHappy

I don’t know about you but three main meals a day is not enough for me. I always have to snack in between otherwise I get grumpy and angry. They also call that hangry, it’s actually a thing. When I am in work, I generally have a chocolate bar in the afternoon or something else. I just couldn’t wait until dinner time. Most times I don’t even have dinner during the week which is why snacking is so important.

Recently Ape Snacks got in touch to try out their Coconut Bites. You either love or hate coconut I really like coconut. In saying that I am not the biggest fan of Bounty chocolate which is strange enough. Coconut is actually very good for you. If it wasn’t so difficult to open, I would buy a coconut every now and again. I used to eat them quite a good bit during my childhood.

Ape Snacks was created by just one mum. Her aim was to create a healthy snack with no sugar and none of this processed stuff that you can find in the shelves these days. She pretty much mixed a few coconut flakes together with cinnamon and salt, toasted it and that’s where it all began.

The Ape snacks are suitable for vegans and are gluten free and of course have no added sugar, It’s only natural ingredients. I find myself munching on these during work. They are still filling and definitely healthier than snacking on a chocolate bar each day.

The Ape snacks are available as coconut bites and coconut curls. The curls flavours are as follows:

  • Light Salted
  • Pepper & Spice
  • Salted Caramel

The bites are available in the following flavours:

  • Natural
  • Chia Seed
  • Sesame Seed
  • Chocolate

Yesterday I was munching on the chocolate flavoured coconut bites. I love the way they are just the perfect size, not bigger than a coin and because they come with natural ingredients, they can also be given to your kids as a snack when they come home from school or creche. Definitely big thumbs up for these handy snacks on the go.

If you would like to try these out yourself, they are currently available to buy for £1.49 a pack in Sainsbury’s, Boots or Holland & Barrett.

Disclaimer: I was given this product for the purpose of this review. As always this is 100% my own opinion.
