The Me and Mine Project April 2018

Another month has whizzed by. I am probably saying this each month but this year is flying by. April was quite busy for us at the start as we headed off to the UK for the Easter break.

April was actually a super fun month for us. Not only that the kids have been on an airplane and been to Legoland and Peppa Pig World but also to get to see their godmother again. Matthew hasn’t seen her in such a long time. Despite that, he still remembered her name which was so cute. The kids had a great time with her the days she was over. In fact Chloe was asking for her days after. Next visit will be in August again so closer to the time I will tell them.

Isn’t it silly how we depend on the weather so much. We definitely had April weather. Now thankfully it was nice most of the time and we are promised another mini heat wave this weekend but once the rain comes, we have to change plans or stay indoors.

This month family photo was taken in the garden in front of our shed. I felt the garden needed a colour splash and so I decided to turn it into a beach hut. I am very pleased with it.

Daddy was loving:

  • Trip to the UK
  • Rental Car in the UK (which was the new Nissan Qashqai and it had a sunroof)
  • Watching football matches with friends
  • Spending time with the family
  • First BBQ of the year

Mammy was loving:

  • Trip to the UK to escape the day to day life
  • First BBQ of the year
  • Trip to Sligo
  • Lunch in Shells Cafe by the sea side
  • Delicious breakfast in Urban’s Kitchen Cafe
  • Getting the garden ready for the Summer

Matthew was loving:

  • Going on the airplane
  • Going on a train
  • Legoland
  • His bunk bed in the Legoland Hotel
  • Building lots of Lego in the hotel
  • Ice Cream

Chloe was loving:

  • Going on the airplane
  • Peppa Pig World
  • Going on all the rides in Peppa Pig World
  • To be up past bedtime
  • Ice Cream

Sounds like a lovely month and I do love that beach hut inspiration, who needs a beach when you have your back garden! #meandmine
