Working full-time can be hard some days. I need a very strict routine to make sure the kids are ready in the morning for creche/school and fed before heading out the door. Once I return from work, its off to collect them and we have about two hours before it’s bedtime again. We are managing well for now anyways.
Well better late than never is what they say. The June bank holiday weekend is already one weekend behind us. I know it’s pretty quiet on my blog lately. But can you blame in this gorgeous weather we have been getting lately? I am trying to keep the blogging down and enjoy more outside fun with the kids. You can…
As I get a older, traveling becomes more and more of a passion. There are so many places to see, my bucket list is endless and more places are added on a monthly basis. Most of these are quite afar and wouldn’t be doable with the kids. However I would love to bring the whole family on a trip that…
It has been well over a week since I returned from my mini holiday in Spain. I can’t believe it has gone that quick. I have to say I love last minute holiday trips. A few work friends and I decided in March that we needed some sun. The weather was dreadful back then.
In colder months, problems with airlines and travel experiences are more common than ever. The threat of snow, rain, and storms can end up grounding flights for longer, meaning more disgruntled customers looking for compensation. One important thing to remember is that when your trip is disrupted by an unexpected problem, there are things that you can do to get…
The day after our visit in Paultons Park during the Easter Break, the weather was not support to great. Our hotel had a good few leaflets about attractions and things to see around the area. I also google a few things and we made a list what we could see in the next few days.
We are finally getting back to normality after our well deserved Easter break in the UK last week. It’s nice to take a break from the blog for almost two weeks but it’s so hard to catch up after being out for so long. As our holiday in the UK last year was so enjoyable, we decided to book it…
Snow can be a funny old thing. At first you are all excited for your kids and the youngest gets to see proper snow for the first time. Then the next minute you realise you can’t leave the house at all, other than by foot in up to 1 feet high snow. It’s great fun altogether for the oldest but…
Last week was Matthew’s first ever midterm break from school. He was actually really looking forward to it. Even though it was only two days, everyone had a lovely break. So much so that yesterday, when Chloe went back to creche, she was full of chats to her minder. She is never anything like that in the morning. She is…
Chloe will soon be starting pre school. At her age we love any type of educational toy. Something that gets her going, teaches her things about the world. Mattel was so kind and sent us the new Teach ‘n tag Movi. He is such a cute little robot and both kids are having so much fun with him.
Dear Chloe, Today we celebrated a special day. It was indeed your birthday. We can’t believe you are three already. Where have those three years gone? It feels like only yesterday when you were a tiny little baby sleeping in your moses basket.
It’s another year of family portraits. This is going to be the third year I am taking part in the me and mine project. If you never heard of it before, then you should definitely check out Lucy’s blog Dear Beautiful. It’s actually a nice memory to have a family photo each year to look back on.
It has been over two weeks ago now since I introduced potty training to Chloe. It has been on the cards for quite some time… since the Summer really. She has been ready for a long time but I just kept dragging it out to be honest. She is my last baby after all. She is so mature for her…
It’s been a long time since I went for Afternoon Tea. The last time was March last year with hubby’s sister. It was time to book another one. And there was no better occasion other than my birthday. I spent the weekend at my friends in Sligo. We decided to try out Afternoon Tea in Knockranny House Hotel, Westport which…
Chloe absolutely adores dolls and anything that involves role play. It started off with a doll she got from her godfather two Christmases ago. Since then her doll collection has grown and she is up to four to five baby dolls now. The only thing missing in her collection was a Barbie doll.
And so we are half way through the first month of the new year. I have been fairly quiet on the blog the past month. So far we have done nothing exciting to be honest. The weather is holding us back and now that we have started potty training Chloe at the weekend, we are very limited to go places.…
I am really watching my kids sugar intake. It is very important they have healthy teeth. During the week they always get water only in their cups. It’s a habit we got into and I don’t want to steer away from. I used to drink a lot of sugary drinks as a child (still do) but these type of drinks…
Do you find yourself planning out the holidays for the entire year come January? The trigger seems to be Christmas. I already have a week of work behind me. However, because I had such a nice time off over the festive season, I already feel like planning another holiday for us all. Plus, January always seems to be the month…
We are getting to a stage now of Lego everywhere. Not too long ago Matthew was not into Lego at all and didn’t understand how to build it following the instructions. However as he got a lot of Lego for his birthday back in August, I sat down with him and we did a set every weekend. He slowly got…
I don’t know about you but if I get a new phone, I feel like I need to protect it with a case. Phones these days have a very slippy back. I tend to drop my phone quite a good bit. However if I have a cover on it, I prevent it from getting damaged. Some people don’t like case…
